Standing In The Gap

In the stillness of the night, awakened from my sleep.
My body can't rest and weariness I fight.
I arouse to pray, for I sense something isn't quite right.

I hear whisperings from deep within my soul.
To the floor, I kneel and pray with no control.
Oft' times I do not know of whom these prayers are for.
Yet I do know that someone out there
has a tremenduous need or care.

In odedience to His Word, I stand in the gap,
lifting up someone in prayer...and as I pray
I know miracles are taking place for those
with special needs and cares.

If You are awakened in the quiteness of the night,
Please kneel before The Lord in prayer.
For someone is in need of you there,
standing in the gap, lifting them up in prayer.
