Do The Right Thing
"It is not proper to do so, for we will offer the god of Egypt to YHVH, our Elohim." (Ex
8:26)
After the Egyptians were hit with four plagues, Pharaoh finally agreed to allow the children of Israel to offer
sacrifices to YHVH. However, he added a condition that it must be done in Egypt. Moses responded by saying that they would
be slaughtering animals that the Egyptians considered to be their gods and the Egyptian people might react violently, and
that would not be the proper thing to do.
At times we encounter opposition to our way of worship and people can become
quite upset with us. We can avoid hurting others by not doing it in front of them. Do not spite people as if to say, "I don't
care what they think - I am doing my thing". Try to show others respect, especially when serving YHVH.
