Deut
32:29
When reflecting on our lives, we can have a better perspective if we look ahead and think about the end of our
lives. One day we will look back on how we lived. What will we see then? Will we see that we achieved something
worthwhile, or will we realize that we spent our time foolishly?
During our younger years, we don't think about these things. We feel that whatever we are doing at the time is the most
important thing in the world.
Hopefully, we will have many years after retirement to reflect on the past. How happy will those years be?
It never happened that a person in his last days said, "My only regret is that I did not spend more time at the office."
We cannot recreate the past. When we reach a point when we would like to do so but are helpless, we may be very distressed.
