YHVH commanded the Israelites to 'make a sanctuary' and to 'build the Tabernacle'. It
was to serve as the dwelling place of the Shechinah, which is the Divine Presence of YHVH. The expression "that I may
dwell among them" seems to be grammatically wrong. Shouldn't it be "that I may dwell in
it" instead? But this is to teach us that the Shechinah dwells in the Tabernacle (Sanctuary) and it
also dwells in us individually and collectively, if we prepare our hearts for it.
