Divine Justice
"Why do you say, I am hidden from YHVH?"
Isa 40:27
Idolatry
had its origin in the erroneous concept that human beings are so small and insignificant that it is absurd to think that YHVH
Elohim would be concerned with them. But we are not hidden from YHVH and He is concerned about every one
of us.
When we experience things that we deem unjust, we may say, Why me? Some people may be unable to reconcile what they feel
to be an injustice with their concept of YHVH as being just. Rather than ascribe injustice to YHVH, they revert to the error
of the ancients, and attribute the happenings to immutable laws of nature.
Moses offered many arguments why YHVH should revoke His decree and allow him to enter the Promised Land, but when YHVH
rejected them all, he was able to accept Divine Justice, as his last words indicate:
"Perfect is His work, for all His ways are justice; faithful El, without iniquity, righteous and fair is He."
(Deut 32:4)
